Exclusions from Support
Currently, the Trust does not support organisations that are involved in the following:
- x advice services
- x advocacy
- x alcohol projects
- x animal welfare
- x applications from charities/organisations based abroad
- x arts
- x basic services for elderly or disabled people
- x branches of national charities
- x commercial publications
- x conferences or seminars
- x counselling
- x direct replacement of statutory funding
- x drop-ins
- x drugs HIV/AIDS projects
- x establishing funds for scholarships or loans
- x general appeals
- x heritage
- x individuals
- x IT training/projects
- x parish churches
- x large national charities which enjoy wide support
- x medical (including research), general health care or costs of individual applicants
- x mental health care
- x overseas projects other than eye care and water provision
- x overseas travel, conference attendance or exchanges
- x performances, exhibitions or festivals
- x prisoner and offender projects
- x refugee projects
- x religious activities
- x research projects
- x school related projects
- x science
- x sports
- x stage, film or television production costs
- x university or similar research
We do not make retrospective grants, nor help to pay off deficits or loans, nor can we remedy the withdrawal of statutory funding.
We do not give grants in response to any large capital, endowment or widely distributed appeal.
